actually i have and for the most part they dont want to get their hands dirty and or do manual labor. hence the NG fireplace

Half the engineering dept at my company heats with wood. Same with our IT dept. Mostly white collar college grads with salaries right around 2x our local median salary. Like many geeks, they just like doing things the hard way and being frugal. Many also drive manual trans cars.
