Yeah, I know Thanksgiving is tomorrow, but I did a bit already. Not the big tree, but a few small ones just in the dining room and laundry room. Haven't even lit the vent free yet as you can see by the pics!

Not yet. I heard that for every Christmas light that goes up before Thanksgiving, a reindeer is strangled.::-)

our tree went up Nov 2 (artificial)...not 3 minutes after cleaning up from the laundry room remodel completion, otherwise it would have been up Nov 1. Outside lights have been going up in waves...almost finished...just need to add some around the front door. maybe I do tomorrow if its not raining.
Your place looks super! I love a Xmas time.

reindeers is gooood eating too.

Well, hopefully not. We wanted to raise reindeer if we had gotten the farm we wanted, I like reindeer. However, I'll tell a secret-there are a few Christmas decorations that are up all year round here.

I leave the lights up on the porch year round. They get plugged into a timer tomorrow. Tree won't happen for a few weeks. We like em fresh.

Lol...you beat us! I did this over the past weekend.

We just finished our laundry room too. Had to pull wiring, plumb it, put in the floors, drywall, beadboard and wallpaper. Still needs trim.

Thanks! Us too.

Everything went up 2 weeks before thanksgiving. If i comlain i just get on the s**t list so ,no comment.

If it were tastefully done like EclecticCottage, I wouldn't mind looking at it. It's all that overblown, tacky christmas porn that depresses the chit out of me.

Bah, humbug.

Christmas at the Dixette's this year. I'll pull out some of the decorations, but most of the will stay packed.

Working weekends at the museum until right before Christmas, so lack of time to put everything out is a big issue.

I do not often have house envy but it seems the more people on this forum who post pictures of their houses, the more envy I have! Very nice decorations!!

Can't do it...All I do is look back when I was brought up and see that after Thanksgiving was when the decorating for x-mas officially started. Today commercial industry has forced the x-mas holiday to start up just after Halloween now.
We got our tree tonight, it's on the porch waiting...this weekend I will put the lights up outside.
I shopped on cyber monday and got a good deal done, some of it came today actually.
I'm sorry, one holiday at a time.

I try to put it off as long as possible. Finally my wife brow beats me into a "family tree gathering day"Somehow I end up paying for 4 trees. Nice family get together though.
