I do not have enough knowledge to say for sure, but it seems very doubtful to me. Others will have to chime in.

Yikes, no, not at all. That makes one wonder what else they buried under the sheetrock. I'll bet there are 2 by somethings near that crock. And the chimney looks unlined which is as serious a no-go. Both can be corrected but first have the chimney cleaned before adding a liner. Here is how to correctly pass a thimble through a combustible wall.

BG beat me to it, no! that's not good as it sits. not certain but im thinking the combustible wall would have to be opened up to at least 18 inches around the thimble (anyone who is certain of the needed clearance please feel free to correct me if im wrong, don't have my references in my new computer yet)

That's easy the Buck 94 nc. Same stove no cat
I think he was also trying to get the cost down lower than the Buck would cost him. But, yeah, the big non-cat buck seems to be the biggest insert out there. Though, I suspect the Country Canyon is near it.

Nice! Never knew about 94c! I will look into basement thimble I guess they have burnt in it before I have only owned the home for one year. It is lined it is clay all the way up and I. Great condition

Basement is low on the to do list . Lot of work to the house but priority number one is our heat and installing proper safe heat

I have the buck 94. I think it is a great stove. I heat about 3000 sq ft of open floor plan. The firebox is huge and takes a lot of wood. No problem to get 12 hour burns. I really refuel every 12 hours unless it is 10 degrees or less and I am cranking the btus.

12 hours with 3,000 sq ft isn't bad.

Can't remember if I asked this or not . What is the largest non cat insert available . Looking for something like a buck 91 size wise . Price under 4000$
The harman TL-300 is only 3 Cu ft but i can get more wood in it than my englander 30 cuz its a top loader and the andirons keep it away from the door glass.
It will also do a good 12-17 Hour burn time with a level temp curve, and has a huge front door glass. Cost about $2500.
