Does anybody have any info on the new pacific energy neo 2.5 insert. I was on they're website and the new EBT2 burn technology is supposed to regulate itself based on how much chimney draft pressure it senses. I wonder if you would need a damper with this new feature? Also, do these inserts have a full convection system like my avalon olympic has.

The EBT2 is a barometric damper on the secondary. No damper should be needed on this stove unless the chimney is 30+ft tall and then considering it's an insert, downsizing the liner is more practical. This is a totally convective, flush insert.

I def would like some more info also. Looks like a really nice insert. So now I'm doing research on the smaller 1.6. Anybody have info on the smaller one they can pass along would be much appreciated. Blaze king princess is on my top list so far but the neo def takes it in the looks catergory.

Green, the thing I don't understand is if it has a real convection system, why does it come with the blowers? Another thing, will the stove get damaged if you don't use the blowers when the stove is running.

Fan assisted convection is still convection. Will the Neo convect naturally, without fan assistance? That I can't answer, it's is a new stove and not on the market yet. Based on reports for other flush stoves like the Alterra and Morso I would say probably not. That is, it will sort of work but by design you are going to get much better natural convection from a stove that projects out onto the hearth or if flush, that has fan assist. Still, this would be good question to contact PE about.
