A method that I might actually use

Dismissing that this is super easy to split wood, the principle still applies to other wood. I think it does the tire trick one better.

That is a nice improvement on the bungee method I've seen before.
 
Slick, now all I need are a crap load of 6-10" rounds. Where do I get those?

With the chain there for adjustment- it should work for a really wide range of sizes. That's one of the things I liked.
 
I've used that method, works well but eventually I would hit the bungee and break it, went through quite a few before I gave it up.

Its very creative. I tried that once and cut threw the bungy I was using to hold the round.

Yep,I've had the same problem with cutting the bungie. I would guess the chain could nick up the fiskars pretty good as well. I like using the tire because you can stand up rounds that aren't quite flat on the ends and would otherwise fall over.

Okay...mus have been my phone. Sorry. Had to see...what the fuss is.
I really like the pants and suspenders. They look like moleskin but from the side they looked like pants with chaps built in. Phew.
Thats like a french maid outfit from a mans perspective.
I love suspenders on men. lol
 
now that's pretty cool......I too thought the belt and suspenders were interesting.....must be "a logger"

Nobody is suggesting that it makes the actual splitting easier, just the picking up etc.

and FWIW- white oak usually splits SUPER easy for me when green (sans knotty pieces)
