I ordered 3 tons of stove chow last year based on using them 2 years ago. Had Pres to Logs sent instead. I was pissed, and was going to send them back but figured it wasn't worth the hassle. Then burned them and was very happy. I thought they were even better than Chow.

Enter this year, and I actually ask for Pres to Logs and get them. I have to empty my Harman XXV after a week of burning 24/7 because the metal bin is full of ash.

Anybody else notice a difference from this year and last?

I have the same opinion : Burnt 2 tons PrestoLogs last year, this year they seem to be ashy, but seem to burn just as hot.

They burn hot tho!!!!

Burn Baby Burn:cool::cool::cool:

Burned a ton already. Definitely hot and a little more ash when compared to chows.

I have to clean mine out about every 2 days burning them.

Only tried 3 bags this year, they burnt hot, but tons of ash

I see no difference from last year with mine. They burn hot and then there is ash. I honestly can't tell any difference. But then I think my stove doesn't really care. It just burns them.

The ones I tested were great like they were last year...very low ash and great heat. They were slightly darker than the lighter cream color they were last season. We've seen some that are super dark colored like they used to be but no one has really said they were super ashy.
