Cleaning my stove, Quadrafire Classic Bay

Great stove ! There are 2 spots I'd look at one on the right side you'll see a panel 4 screws remove and Vac there . Secound place plate front center 2 screws Vac there . Also if you don't have one get a dryer vent brush you can bend it and get behined the heat tubes . Keep her clean and shell treat you well !

I do it at least every other week . But it depends on how dirty the pellets are I'm buring ( ashy ) more ash more often .
I would clean it every week for a couple of weeks to see how it looks then you can go from there . Only adds 5 mins to the cleaning time . Remember with the side plate that's where all the ash goes when u pull the pull rods . The dryer vent brush works great at getting in between the tubes and pushing the ash down there . Clean the right side plate last because that's where everything settles .
I clean once a week on Sunday no matter what . I could go 2 weeks easy ( the cb1200 has a huge ash pan ) but I figure the cleaner the better !

It's a clean out for under the burn pot . It's the chamber between the pot and ash pan . Ash and pellets end up in there and can affect how the slide plate moves and seals . Pull out the ash pan remove the 2 screws and you can Vac it out .
Always when the stove is cold !!
