That looks so good, but a part of me shudders thinking of all the grease splatter marks leftover.

Yeah it splatters a bit, but once the stove is cranked back up to around 550 for a while, it disperses the grease nicely. It helps that the stove is in the basement, so not really a big deal if it gets a little dirty.
I plan on bringing it upstairs this summer, then I will need some provisions for keeping the stove pristine.

I think I'm going to try slow-cooking a pot roast on the insert tomorrow- Will brown it on the electric stove, then put into a large Corningware dish with Potatoes, Carrots, and onions. Put it on top of the insert and wait for yummy smells to start wafting from the basement.

Well, I have been up since 5AM. Got up to feed the stove and couldn't go back to sleep. It is now over 2 hours later and I have not felt hungry until I saw that picture. mmmmmmmmmmm.

I'll take a meat lover's omelet, hash browns, sausage, scrapple, and some limp soggy bacon.
Oh and wheat toast with tons of butter! I have to keep it healthy!

Breakfast for champions. Don't forget about the buttermilk biscuits with butter.

What's in the kegerator for quittin' time?

Right now a 50L keg of Warsteiner and a 1/6th barrel of Shocktop. I always have Warsteiner on tap, and I planned on getting a 1/4 barrel of Yeugling Porter, but the distributor, RL Lipton, didn't have any in stock last week, so Shocktop it is. Once the Shocktop is gone, I plan on getting another 1/2 keg of Great Lakes Edmund Fitzgerald - a superb porter. I have to get that through Superior Beverage Group in Cleveland.
Having a kegerator is cool, beats running to the store all the time. But it is wise to make sure you will like your choice(s), as you will be drinking the same stuff for a while.
