How many hours do you get out of a bag of pellets?

Lately, about 10. It's been pretty nippy. Still cheaper than oil.

I get about the same with outside temps in the 30's. With the big freeze last week (in the teens and single digits) I was getting about 12hrs/bag. If the outside temps are above the mid 40's I can get about 40 hours out of a bag. I heat about 1500 sq ft with about 10% of that drifting to the upstairs via a staircase.

if I run my classic bay with constant fire and on low I think I get around 15 hours. if I run it with the stat set at 70 with out wood heat I get around 23 hours. with the woodstove a bag will last 42-46 hours. my old mp 250 on low was 24-25 hours. it was only constant on. I don't understand how it would vary because the feed system is basically run by a timer. I think anyway. I love that old stove.

It all depends on how cold it is outside. I can burn .5 - 1.7 bags per 24 hours, so, if it's 40F outside, .5 of a bag will last 24 hours. Temp outside as of now is 12F, I am burning 1 bag every 10 - 12 hours with the house at 68 - 72F, heating 1500 sqf with the 25-PDVC at 6 (heat), 7 (blower) in mode 'c'.

Depends entirely on stove, settings and for stat-controlled stoves, outside temps and insulation of house. For older Whitfield Quest (no stat, no ignitor so it just burns constantly when lit), set on L-M feed rate, about 18-19 hours. On Med, about 16. On Med-High, about 14. For Quad Mt Vernon AE (stat and ignitor), hard to use more than about 1.3 bags/24 hours keeping room at 73-74 unless temps are in single digits at night and not rising out of low 20s. Most days I get about 24 hours exactly if nighttime temps in the 20s and daytime in the high 30s, low 40s.

Normally 1.5-2 bags. With the temps no higher than the teens I will probably use a litter over 2

Setting on 2, outside temperature in the 40s, inside temperature 62. One bag in 24 hours.

This is on an enclosed porch that is about 400 square ft, glass on 3 sides, insulated ceiling, floor and one outside wall, not airtight, no OAK

I go about 18 hours on a bag when temps are this low. (15) Stove is on High Low running off my Round Honeywell thermostat set at 70. I have the high setting on 4 out of 5. The air coming out of the stove ranges from 150 to 300 depending whether the thermostat is calling or not.

What is control setting at? Was 4 last night and burned 1 1/4 bags at 1/2 way...but I am heating 2100 +/-

Basement Harman has been chewing thru a bag and half a day with the Elena bumping for about an hour AM an PM so all total about 64 pounds a day with the temps today of a balmy 3 for a high.

I average 1 bag per day through the entire heating season. It got all the way up to 4 degrees today with a low of -12 last night. 1 bag will last 12 hours and keep the house at 72 with these temps.

A little over 12 hours

When temps are sub 25 I go through a bag every 14 hours. When its 35 or better, about 22 hours per bag.

I alternate between Greene Team Platinum & New England. On average I'm getting nothing less than 18 hours and sometimes 20 with my Englander 25-PDV. Daytime / evening I'm at 4-5 and then down to 2 at bedtime. It's been in the teens for a few days now!!

Downstairs Accentra insert goes through +~- 1.5 bags a day.
Upstairs Veronica goes through +~- 1 bag a day.
2500 square foot bi-level with an attached garage below the bedrooms & lousy insulation.

Likely 4.5 to 5 tons this season.

Still a LOT cheaper than what the electric bill would be.
