How often should the chimney be cleaned when burning pellets?
Is burning pellets going to cause dirt and buildup more than burning wood?
Im burning an England PDVE 25 and I have to clean the pipe on it after every couple tons of pellets.
Thanks.

You should clean the chimney each time for every 1 ton of pellets that you burn. I usually clean mine once a month that way I don't have to keep track of how many bags of pellets I've burned.

Do you mean the chimney or the stove vent pipe? Because cleaning the chimney every ton of pellets seems excessive. I have a big chimney as well.

I clean the chimney flue after every ton. I pull out the insert and break it down to give the stove a full cleaning; remove the clean out tee cap and just bang on the flex-liner pipe a bunch of times. Lots of crap falls down, I vacuum it up and put it all back together.

My home has a basement where the chimney starts and where the basement is then above that is the first floor, above that the second floor, above that is the attic the chimney is bigger than a stove pipe I cant just dissassemble and reassemble that easily.
