Anybody know what type of wood this is

Any idea what kind of wood this is? My work has a ton of this they throw away

Looks like treated lumber if it is let them throw it away, whoever uses it should know what it is.
 
+1 Looks like treated pine. Let is go unless the scraps are big enough to build a firewood rack or woodshed.;)
 
Doesn't look green enough to be treated. Most definitely southern yellow pine. I work with the stuff everyday. Coloring in the picture could be throwing me off but I'm 95% sure it southern yellow pine if if they are throwing it away in quantity I'll guarantee that's what it is. It is a sappy wood. It will burn ok, you just need to be very careful with it. If you fill your stove up with that stuff you'll have an overfire in no time. Typically 2x4's and 2x6's are what we call spruce pine fir, anything wider than that, which would be 2x8 and above, its yellow pine because it is stronger.
