Didn't realize it and honestly have no idea how long it has been, but my refractory which sits under the nozzle in the secondary chamber has been facing the wrong way. Was browsing posts in the boiler room and came across posts stating the refractory should be slanted towards the door. I've had mine slanted towards the tubes in the rear. I have no idea if I reversed it after spring cleaning accidently or if it has always been in the wrong direction for 3 years. This year I seem to notice much more smoke billowing from stove pipe than I remember. Would a wrong way refractory cause that? Would it reduce efficiency? Also getting more ash than usual.
Any comments appreciated.

I would think the bottoms of the turb tube openings are blocked.

Sierradmax, thanks for reply. I'll check the turb openings.
