My stove is a FS Enviro Meridian that has big time issues with lighting on a cold start. The details are:
- Stove is running on a T Stat and shuts down for the night.
- There is a layer of ash that remains in the burn pot liner.
- T Stat alerts the stove to turn on in the AM.
- Pellets fall into the bed of ash in the burnpot liner.
- Ignition fails as the ignitor can't reach the pellets sitting atop the bed of ash.
- Burning Spruce Pointe pellets.
So what I have had to do in between every fire is manually clean the burnpot liner. This means for the stove to work properly I need to wait for the stove to go out at night and cleaning before I go to bed, and coming home at lunch to repeat the cleaning before it attempts to start again in the PM. As I have identified the culprit as the ash build up (I don't have clinkers, just ash build up), is this normal or is the stove failing to "blow out" the liner on shut down? I have to believe that something is failing here.
As you can imagine, this is a lot of work and some days I just can't stay up late or come home to care for it in the middle of the day.
