First of all I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas.

I have enough wood for the Lopi stove inside the house. But I put up a small green house this fall for my hobbies. I had the Arrow wood stove in there but a little to small to last the night, found a deal on the Pleasant hearth stove and put that in there. Now back to the wood, I do not want to burn my good dry wood that I heat my house with so I have been going to a local pallet mill and getting oak cut offs. Well with all this cold weather everyone has been beating me there. So the Craigslist List Junkie that Iam, I found a pallet recycling place that said all the free would you could use. I found alot of good small piece for my green house. I have made about 6 trips with my mini van. I gave the forklift drive some of my hottest pepers I had in the green house, Ghost Chilles. I have it made in there now, I can walk around the place as If I work there. You guys tell me If I need help?

Maybe you need a new wife and kids?
I'm just kidding. I'm with you on this though, I gather quite a bit of cut pieces that are like yours from a crate maker in town. Its used in my house for kindling and in my shed for heat. Its brilliant.
The only compromise that I can see is to make nice looking bins for storage so the wife and kids can pretend that its not there. ;lol Good luck!

Wow what a great idea! Now all you need is a couch in the greenhouse , and you don't need to sleep in the living room. :)

If agree with them, you obviously need help.
You need help stacking all that wood properly, and maybe some help building a decent woodshed to store it in. So why aren't they helping?

BTW do you have an outside air kit hooked up to that stove?
If not maybe you could get them to help you with that?

I think as long as you still have to fire up the lawnmower, you've got it under control.

Two out of 3 of my girls helped me unload the van yesterday. I was stacking it neat at first, but yesterday it was so cold and windy that I just dumped the wheelbarrows. This stuff burns very fast so I hope it is all gone by spring.

Looks like you might need a little help measuring clearances to combustibles from that stove.

Yes everything is close. One is because of the old stove and plus I just built the bench with access for the water barrels

Help? you don't need help? You need more wood!!

I do the same thing over the summer to heat my domestic hot water. This way I keep the good wood for the winter.

They load 2 cribs in my trailer (about a cord) and lend me their pallet jack to unload them.

Infinitymike, what is it you haveon the otherside of the cribs in the garage. Looks like a resto project that has stalled.

those are some nice cuts of 4x4s

Yeah it's a sweet deal. All cut up and loaded in the cribs. Can't get better then that.
