Check your local Menards, heard their pellets were on sale for 170 a ton. I am sure the brands vary by store.
Worth looking into.

Thanks. Just checked and on sale for $184 at a menards about an hour from my house. Bought 4 ton earlier this fall at that same price and might have to go get another ton.

Unfortunately local menards has Indeck here. Brown as bark and piles of ash.:(

Menards here has Michigan Wood Fuels, haven't heard good things about them. I picked up 3 bags today to try anyway.

Menards has 11% rebate this week on any purchase! including gift cards. I guess you can get 11% on the gift card then use the gift card and get another 11% off the purchase itself essentially doubling your rebate. Maybe a good time to stock up if you need some pellets.

Michigan Wood Pellets are for those who don't like heat much ...and love ash ...

Haha, that's all they have at my closest Menards too, but they burn ok for me. The menards in Wyoming, MI had some Sommersets when I was there this week. They didn't have a whole ton or I would have went back for them.

I've been burning the Michigan Wood Fuels pellets for 2 months now and they burn fine in my p43 although everything else I stiffed in it burned fine also. As far as ash goes it appears that I can easily fit a tons worth of pellet ash in the ash box.

I think the MWF pellets get a bad rap from the past, from what I hear(and my minimal experience) they seem pretty decent.
