No idea what you got there but with a deal like that I wouldn't care. Now if you could get them to split some of the bigger ones.

Need some better pictues for some of that.

Free is good. Hard to tell what you have. Maybe some Apple?
Wow! Can't they split it for you?

Apple sounds right.

Nice score

3rd picture looks like walnut

An advantage that you probably have is that you can walk around the course and look at the trees that are standing on the property-I'm sure that what you have there is still represented by trees still standing, so you can hone up on your wood identifying skills by looking at the live trees.

You certainly have an interseting mish-mosh of wood there! I also get wood from a local golf course and have gotten some really good stuff over the years.....

nice. happy new year :)

Looks like good BTU's

You might have some Crabapple , I scored some a couple of years ago it was very difficult to split.

What ever you got its all good.

Well, I spent the day splitting and organizing my piles, warming up the snowblower and testing out the generator. We are expecting 8-14 inches of snow tomorrow. A lot of that pile turned out to be apple/crab apple. Thank goodness for the log splitter. I talked to the head greens keeper. He just cuts everything to 18 inch lengths and stacks it up for the taking. As you would imagine at a private country club, there are not many wood hoarders, never mind any that have a splitter. So, I get it all. He has another 4-5 cords just staked and waiting for me. I am working on my 2 year supply. Thanks for the help.

Nice deal with the golf course. Smart for getting ahead a couple years.

I too spent the day getting ready for the snow. Moved a bunch of wood from my FIL's house to my house and into the woodshed. Also put a bunch in the garage to keep dry. Snowblower is gassed up and the plow is on the truck. Tony P. on channel 12 say's 8-12" for me (weather.com is 12-18"). Bring it on.
