I thought I'd show a pic of my current stacks. I've run through at least 1/2 a cord or more already, and I have about 1.5cords I'm splitting right now in the driveway. Every piece is oak in my stacks :)

cool - thanks. My father keeps insisting I'm going to rot all of my wood, lol. I do see that yours has a cover over the top though?

Kennet Square - I'm not far; Cherry Hill, NJ. :)
I could always take some off your hands....only 10 minutes away from you in Haddon Heights.;)

Too much wood? Just like horsepower, never enough.

However, I live on a small 1/2 acre lot and have run out of room on my existing racks which is about two cords. Big storm coming tomorrow, blizzard on LI so I expect to scrounge some good wood but I have no idea where to put it.

Too much wood covered IS a problem that I have had in the past. Years ago I stacked 10 cords tight together on pallets and covered it after the wood was dry. The tarps leaked in spots and that wood was SOAKED and rotted. I lost a lot of BTU's in that pile I am sure and I had to separate out the wet wood so it could dry. Lesson learned. I now stack with space between my rows for better airflow. I cover them sooner now too.

I got out this afternoon and tarped (tops only) all my stacks. I stacked them on pallets, but criss-crossed so they should have air-flow no matter what. I have about the same amount of wood right now, and I'd be devastated if I lost any of that hard work!
