Not liking the Canawick pellets. Anyone else burning them?

So, I have a Harman p61a and I just started burning my stash of canawick pellets. I can't believe how much ash they produce. I scrap the pot and a few hours later the burn pot is completely full again. Pretty disappointed with these pellets since I paid almost $300 per ton.

The other thing that I noticed which was a good thing was that there hardly was any saw dust.

So far this year I have burned mwp blend and crabbe pellets both burned great with little ash. But noticed a lot of saw dust in the bag.

I've only tried the MWP blend and Crabbé. The MWP was very dusty but burned fine. The Crabbé had almost no dust and burned very well. The Lisbon Falls pellet store tells me that the Crabbé is vacuumed twice before bagging.
 
I've seen these in my area this year but haven't tried them. Hardwood pellet?
 
My brother-in-law didn't good things to say about the Canawicks either. He's burning the Maximums this year and liking them.
 
I tried the Canawick Hardwood pellets last season, picked a few bags to try at Canadian Tire. The pellets were darker than any I have seen before and created lots of ash. I'm sure quality can change from season to season.
 
Jacques might want to consider mixing with another pellet to see if that helps with the level of ash

I bought 10 bags from crappy tire last fall, burned ok I thought, however my first year with a pellet stove. It was the price that turned me away, $6.00 per bag.
