Been playing with the settings on my stove over the last few days..... I was looking at trying to get the stove to perform a little better.
The results of all the testing with the stove in mode 'c' are in.
As you will see in the above video, the stove has a clean / clear window after 5+ hours of burning pellets.
So, I hear you ask ... 'What are my settings ?'
OK, here they are....
Mode 'c'
Lower 3 buttons from left to right ...... 1 7 1
Heat @ 6, Blower @ 6.
I can get a cleaner burn if I up the middle number to 8 from 7, this also produces more heat.
Some have said that these lower buttons only work with heat ranges 1 and 2, this is not the case here with my stove. If I lower the LBA to 6 or under, I get a dirty burn and the glass gets coated in black soot. The same happens if I increase the LFF above 3 and I end up with a load of fuel in the burn pot and a lazy flame.
For those of you that have the 25-PDVC, play with your settings if you are having an issue with a dirty burn / yellow lazy flame. One thing I must point out, the changes that you make take time to change the way the stove works, so be patient and just observe the results over time (1 - 3 hours) per adjustment.
Also, the plate in the bottom of the hopper for the purpose of less or more pellets being fed, it's been set to allow the minimum amount of pellets to drop down, the reason for this is that the pellets are small (short).
