I'd say it takes a brave log splitter to continue working with one of those defective cylinders. So they're aptly named--you gotta give 'em that.

I know. I know. Stanley has never recalled a maul or a wedge.
 
Speaking of Stanley only steel tape rulers are made in the original location in CT 40 % of there tools are made in USA 60% in China

No door hardware nobs or hinges are made in North America all from china That goes for all stamped brand manufactures not just Stanley

Craftsmen sockets wrenches ect used to be made by Miller Falls in Western MA That ended in the mid to late 80's Sears moved it contracts to China

Soon after Miller Falls went out of business. Some of the finest wood working tools available, they could no longer compete with cheap a** imported junk

oh, yea. i saw that name on one of my fav screwdrivers.
