40 hours ? Damn that's awesome ! ............Am excited to see what this stove can do when we get a cold snap........Doesn't get as cold you but we get into the single digits from time to time.
We don't get that cold very often. low to mid teens is more like it..and I'm glad of it. If I didn't have to leave the house i could deal with it better..lol.
The wife and I snowmobile also and 0 is just to dang cold or else we might have went out tonight.

Went out this morning sledding . . . temps were -13 to -22 depending on who you asked and where you were. We made it a short ride. Helmet shield was coated with too much ice to see out of . . . and riding with the visor up was not a real option.

Ya what can that boy do with the temps we are having now which are single digits to below zero. Thirty degree temps are not a good test for a stove.
30 degrees is a great test for a stove! All stoves can get hot,
but not all stoves can slow down to a crawl and make nice even heat, efficiently. And in turn, be able to make big heat when needed!

How is the Ashford doing during this cold snap? Is the Jotul running too?

I couldn't be happier! And the blowers are sweet too!
The jotul is not running, I'll be firing it up tomorrow night though, -15 on the way! _g

Yes, the test is can it make big heat when needed.I see you like me have two stoves and with my -4 temps and your -15 temps both stoves get to work.

Of course it can make big heat! Believe me, I've put it to test!

What is your reload cycle time working out to be during this cold snap? What is the typical stove top temp?
