I recently bought a Quad 5700 "used" and I need some instruction. I am coming from an old smoke dragon, I think its a Papa Bear, to this HUGE beautiful stove.
So I want some real word experience on how to start the stove. I have the "instructions" from the web site, but I want real world advice. It tells me to put the burn rate control all the way up to high, then push the start up control all the way back. Now I have done this and the fire starts, but if I read it right it is supposed to shut down the start up after approx. 25 min. It never shuts down, I don't have it all the way back to manual, I have it pushed back to the highest level, on "automatic", but it still never comes forward on its own. What am I doing wrong?
