When last I used my stove, I made a pile in the middle of the stove of ashes over the coals in thoughts of starting fire next morning. I did not. Months later, do I need to rake out those coals or will they burn?

They will burn.

They'll mostly burn but will still make ash, so sooner or later you'll be scooping them out.

Thanks guys. Yes, they are burning. It's -0.4 degrees here in SW Indiana. The old stove sure feels good. I should have fired it up yesterday.

Please keep that cold stuff over there. I would like to request some warm air up from the south, and an early end to winter please. 50 one day, below zero the next. Crazy stuff.

Suppose to get up to 23 tomorrow. Whoopee!!!
