Trying to figure out if this is oak or not. I know there are a lot of red/white oaks in the surrounding area that were cut at the same time. The ends of the tree appear to be a little lighter than red oak but the bark doesn't look like the other white oaks. Leaves have rounded points (pic to follow). Thanks!

Looks like red oak to me. Where are you located?
