I find they are great for cleaning up the yard.. I have two Rottweilers.

As recycle bags they are ideal, in fact you can fill them with regular recycle stuff and a few extra pellet bags.

Hey Smokey....Madame DeFarge insists on using them as garbage bags - and so we do. No problems yet but I will be sure to keep wet stuff out! Nice to see you.

All the walmarts around here have a bin in the entryway for accepting plastic bags.

i only see this becoming less and less of an issue.
these things are raw material for re-claimers and then manufacturers.
when they take your plastic, they're not doing it as a favor.
