Made it down to 0 F here last night (just outside of Philadelphia). And local stove
dealer is out of pellets, fueling theirs with a ton from Home Depot! Thankfully our supply is still good but the prediction model says we'll be 20 bags short at end of season. HD has some new brand in so will swing buy to check them out. Still no Hamer's at local Lowes, darn it.

I'm in northern New York. When you hear the news say "upstate" they mean a few miles north of Westchester!! We live in the REAL upstate north of the Adirondacks near the Canadian border.

I have to admit its not normal for my pellet stove to run all night but last night I really don't think it ever shut down. If it did I was asleep and it could not have been for long!! I got up in the middle of the night to fix the wood stove and it was -1 on my back porch here in NE PA. But the only electric heating element that ever turned on is in the bathroom!!

It's -5 here now and heading lower. Winds in the morning. Sustained 25-30 with 50 mph gusts. Sound like sailing or kite flying weather. Nice and toasty in the house, maybe I'll just say inside.

Oooh, happy to be here in damn cold northern NY and not in MI

Heading down to a balmy -33 again tonight , wind chills to -37 Friday does not look much better. On a side note went out an bought 75 bags of Satisfaction today at HD $421.21 taxes in. They brought a truck load in on Tuesday, North Bay and Bracebridge took half the load, Huntsville has 1 skid left. Get them while you can!

About to warm up a bit, time to fine the shovel, should start my truck an see if the plow still works.
