Strange to have so many small straight branches, strange to cut them so short, very strange. Probably cut them short to eliminate problems with crooks/bends. What are they going to do with them. People buy them?

Maybe regeneration harvesting - it was popular along hedgerows and to feed rocket stoves.

The length of the chopped pieces makes that grinder look like a modified injection molding sprue grinder without the screen.

That has to be some kind of softwood right?

I would love something like that for the smaller rounds.1" to 4" diameter branches/poles/saplings for kindling etc gets cut down with 25 yr old Delta cast iron miter saw.Much faster than any chain saw with its 1/8" kerf 40 tooth carbide tipped blade.

i looked at more videos. It is overseas somewhere where english is not the norm,,,by the comments after the videos. Other vids show how big of stuff they shove thru them,,some are bigger then that video, but still short length. I hate to think how many tree tops I have burnt that a machine like that could process.

You could put that stuff in an old corn crib to season,,then dump it in the stove from 5 gal buckets.

I use a stilh 192 in-tree saw. You can use it with one hand. It works really well for trimming smaller stuff when you get tree on ground. Cut wrist size limbs into 4 or 5 ft lengths haul them home and cut at wood shed.

Looks like a groan to stack!

I want one, but I'd surely always work it with bare hands and short sleeves!

Anything is adjustable when you build it yourself.
I'd imagine a drum with knives are the key to the operation. A large drum, or fewer knives, would make longer pieces.

not being your mother or nothing,,,but I never use a chainsaw onehanded,,,,never, ever.

I do want one of those little light weight beggers. Is it worth owning?
