Harman's website currently has a $250 off coupon. My question is...are the dealers selling those discounted stoves compensated by Harman? How do the coupons affect dealers?

Wow I just missed that, I got $100 off my P61a. I feel used, no not really, I should have known with spring not that far off. Anyway, when we bought the P61, the dealer did the download for the coupon, she applied it right then and there. It was not a mail in rebate system. I suppose with some dealers it might be best to bring in the coupon.

They seem to constantly have some sort of promotion, tends to be best around the spring. When I got my MVAE back in Sep of 2012 it was $300 and the dealer gave me another 10% off for buying my second stove from them.

Just in December I got the $100 coupon and my dealer was nice to match it so I got a total of $200 off. It's obvisouly to promote buisnees as we are getting closer to spring.also it the $250 or. $100 coupon does not come out of the dealers pocket. Harman subtracts that from what ever there charging the dealer.

Hmmm. My dealer said I could only use the coupon if I paid list price (they'd subtract the coupon from that). They were selling me the new insert (Harman Accentra) for I think $400 below list, so I couldn't use any coupons.

we used the $100 coupon plus home&hearth was running a free pallet of pellets (currans softwood) with stove purchase promo. didn't find out what they were getting for the currans at the time but i'm guessing $250.
