What does that thing on the pedestal say? There also should be a manufacturer's label on the back of the stove.

Thats just it I got these photos from craigslist Northern MI and I called the guy and asked and he said what I thought was Hurst or Hirst and I tryed to find out more online and came up empty . He wasn't much help cause he s trying to sell the stove for an older relitive and its not his stove. I might want to buy it but would like to know more.

Been doing some looking and coming up dry. I know I have seen one of those stoves with the soapstone inlays before but darned if I can remember what it is. Hopefully somebody will pass through that knows.

Looks like a predecessor to the 1500HT. It could be a decent deal though why he left it in the snow is beyond me. That will be a rust bucket soon.

LUckily what snow you see is about all we've got this year. Been dry cold or inversion cold but no moisture either way.
