I just picked up a ton of Green Surpremes at Lowes for $220. not bad?

Im decently stocked, with highs now almost 20 degrees above two weeks ago, much easier to keep warm. Felt spring like today in the sun with 34 degrees :)
 
been warm up here lately. well above zero.
running between low and medium saving pellets.

we should be ok with a little over 5 tons still in the bunker.
no, i'm not expecting to need those all this season.

Almost 2 tons of alleghenys left. Should be good as long as the power stays on ...easily a foot of snow so far. Going to take a while to get out. For now just going to stay inside and wait it out next to the pellet stove :)

2 tons FSU left in the stash...plus whatever I bring home when I am at HD. We will get to spring.
 
got one and a half ton left so i am good to go :)
 
Only got about 6 inches much to do about nothing.

Have about 35 bags only burned 3 bags this winter I think I will make it.

I live cold. We had a geothermal system put in last summer cheaper to operate then pellets ( obviously costs a lot more to install ) . I miss standing next to the pellet stove and letting the heat blast me but the house gets way to hot with it running now. I turned it on when it was -20 and a couple other really cold days but that has been it.
 
Over 2 tons of Somersets in the shed.......

Not to derail this thread.. but what is your electric bill like in the dead of winter.. I worked on a home around the lakes region and had to repair a "geothermal" system because the ass hats that put it in would not service their customer. I asked the owner how much they spent in electricity in the winter.. back in 2006 they said 800 bucks for a month like January.. now it would be closer to 1200. It was a 2400 sq foot well insulated colonial.

I spent about $240 for heat & hot water( 1700 kw * .14c ) last month for a 2500 sq/ft house thermostat set at 69 day and night. My house is 30 years old with ok insulation. Sounds like the system you looked at was running straight electric resistance heat for some reason, for that amount of money you could heat a 8000sq/ft house with a properly engineered system.
