Oh man, they sure went fast! Seems all the local home depots in western suffolk are completely out of stock. They were all carrying pres-to-logs. I spoke to managers at two different locations, and both said it was a regional wait list, and they doubted they would get any more stock before spring. Searching online shows no stores nearby have any in stock.

In my panic, I picked up a trunk full of north americans from lowes on saturday, and they are running low as well. I dont like the hardwood softwood blend the north americans use, but you gotta do what you gotta do. Looks like you better act quickly if you dont have enough to last the season.

I have 20 bags of pres-to-logs, and another 20 bags of north americans. I might fill the car up with another 15 or so tonight, but after that, Ill just have to make it stretch the rest of the season.

How about any Lowes or Tractor Supply inyour area? They typically don't carry the best pellets but they may get you through. I found many feed stores have them but want a premium price for a inferrior pellet.

Yeah, lowes carries north americans, and I will probably try to cram another 15 bags into my car tonight, but they are nearly gone there too. Sadly, no TSC on long island that im aware of, and its a little too densely populated for feed / farm stores. There is an agway about an hours drive from me, but I think its a tiny one, not sure if theyll even have pellets.

Im hoping to last the rest of the season with ~1 ton.

Welp, I missed the last skid at Lowes too. And supposedly out of stock at the other two nearby lowes, though online states pickup available today. Time to start looking elsewhere I suppose.

Looks like wally world has stock - it shows penningtons on the product image, but I don't know for sure what brand they carry around here.

The hour drive for the Agway would make those pricey pellets even worse. I have an Agway about 45 minutes from my house last year they wanted $370 for Allegheny's. I got them for $260 from my dealer. He can keep 'em.

Oh man Penningtons?? Get the hose out!

Pretty much struck out at walmart as well. Bought the last 3 bags in the store. They were indeed penningtons. I have one more wally world I can try before I start collecting saw dust in the garage and pressing my own pellets in the waffle maker.
