6039 control panel

image.jpg The control panel gave an err2 code. After cleaning the stove thoroughly and calling the help desk twice, they told me I needed a new control panel. Before I spend $400 on a new one, is there a way to check and be sure it is the control panel? Here is a picture of the back of the control panel.

I'm no engineer or technician but where the arrow points on the pic below, it just does not look right. Almost looks like it shorted out right there or a really bad solder joint IMO.

Cannot tell much from that picture,but does not look ok.Might want to call assembled products.inc,she advertises she fixes all pellet stove boards.Good luck.
 
That's an ugly cost for a board. 6039s had been going for around $600 till the propain price hike and I think most got reutilized.
