he bought a 25-pah from amfm. in sept. when he got it the exhaust fan didn't even turn on after many time of turning on and off it finally freed up and started to turn seems like something was jammed from shipping. was working fine for about a 4 weeks. burning presto logs after that the flame got lazy and glass turned black and very sooty. I know it should be either a fuel, air issue. I checked all gaskets and changed up fuel still same issue. so I blew out with leaf blower and worked fine for a week. seems like this fixed it. it burns clean for a week then issue again, ever week or so I have to blow out the pipe with a blower.
the exhaust was set up straight out wall 3" duravent,into outside 90 to left then T and straight up 4 feet. I figured maybe the 90 was an issue so I now have it straight out the stove no 90 no T no 4 ft run, just a cap and it seems like I only get about 10 days out of it. I use presto logs and somersets
I have an oak and pulling fine. if I raise the intake to 8 and this will buy me another 5 days
even on start up I have a lazy heavy flame but when I blow it out it works perfect.
