So last night I noticed the acces cover is cracked, this morning it has fallen apart. Can I still burn or will it over heat the cat? What is the purpose of this cover just for looks & to hide the cat?

It looks cracked alright...
I would not burn without the cover in place. By not having the cover in place you will alter the way the smoke/gas and flames travel. You will likely kill the cat.
Can you repair the cover (temporarily) so you can finish this burning season?

Not sure how I would repair it? I was thinking of just removing the cat & cover so I can still burning till the part gets here?

Is this a 2in1 model?
Did it fall apart completely of is it still in solid two pieces? If so, what I have done (mind you this is the soft refractory materials), I pushed stainless steel pins in one section, apply lots or cement, then push the pieces together. Again, this is a bandaid fix. In your case I believe the material is more solid. You would need to pre drill the holes then, match them with the other piece, apply lots of cement, put it back in and hope it will last for the rest of this season. This way the cat is protected at least somewhat.

Yes it's the 2in1. I like the pin idea! Like I said new part is on the way but we all know how that goes.

Thanks for the input guys.
