Hello Everyone:

I have been searching high and low. I can not find any instructions on how to replace the distribution fan on my Harmon Accentra Insert. I realize the fan is under the unit. I have the unit jacked up in the air so as to get underneath it. I have purchased a new fan and ready to replace the old one that ceased. However, The unit doesn't seem to want to come through the hole underneath. Is there another way to get the distribution blower out of the unit? It also doesn't seem logical that one would have to take the whole unit apart to get to it from above. Could someone give me an idea on how to remove this thing please? Thanks in advance for any help or advice you can provide.

IIRC, the only time I changed the d-blower it came right off from the underside of the unit. I seem to remember an issue with getting the wiring back thru the grommet on the bottom so the replacement could be plugged in, but no issues removing the blower itself.

Once you remove the nuts holding the blower bracket to the bottom of the stove, and disconnect the wiring (and the retaining screws) you should be able to lower it straight down out of the stove. The squirrel cage part of the fan has to be centered in the opening or it will hang up.

No ,it comes out of that hole. Do you think, that much crud could have built up around the cage that its bigger then the opening? I pulled mine and it dropped right out.

Same here. Undo the three nuts holding the blower motor and the whole motor and fan come right out. The replacement usually comes in the whole blower casing. You do not need that. Disconnect the wiring through the sleeve and casing and re thread the wires back. that's usually the only tricky part.

I replaced mine last year.

Once I undid the three nuts, the blower was a little sticky to release but I wiggled it and it dropped free from the bottom of the stove. The replacement I used was non-OEM so I had to install connectors on the ends of the wire and feed them back through the grommet.
