How to replace convection blower in Quadrafire CB-1200 Pellet Stove

Hi All,

As Murphy would have it on one of the coldest nights of the year, my convection blower in a CB-1200 is making lots of noise and I think it needs to be replaced. I took a look inside the stove by opening the two lower panels on either side .... but it's not obvious to me how to get to the blower out to replace it. (Tried blowing it out to clean the fins but didn't do much/tried a little bit of WD-40 also) The stove is about 6 years old now and has had about 15 tons of pellets run thru it so I guess it must be time....

Took a little longer than I had expected..... my stove is installed in a corner so tight spaces..... once I had some short screw drivers to remove the back panel and unscrewed the green ground wire that was attached to the back panel from the stove base I had enough room to remove the old noisy convection blower and install the new one ( I ordered off of Ebay) . Now stove is as quiet as it use to be. I think the bearings were wearing out on the old motor as it appeared to look good other than some soot build up on the fan blades and around the motor (Stove is about 6 years old with maybe 15
tons of pellets run through it).

All in all not too bad at all to replace.
