Good Morning,

I have an older Osburn 45 I had picked up second hand.
Service man was extremely helpful in diagnosing this issue.
It ran into issues with its blower and I installed a new Combex blower from factory.

part of the diagnosis step involved adding the pressure switch.
(Prior to my purchase & the repair, it had been removed and the switch by-passed.)

Since the install of the new motor, everything kicked on for few day.
Auger has since quit.
I read the support notes, about clearing obstructed/broken hose/switch. No issue identified.

Changed fuses in the control box too. (Now trying to avoid throwing parts at this.)

Here's the big question..

Can I firmly diagnose the problem as the auger motor if the feed button on the control panel does not feed?
(Are there any conditions that would prevent it from working, like hopper open, pressure switch, not to temp???)

You can easily remove the terminals from the motor and add 110 volts to it. Better still to remove it and do this on the bench-if the motor rotor seems to want to move but won't spin, this is good. I posted am article about rebuilding the auger motor, and if it is a MERKLE-KOFF unit,it may apply to you. You can physically turn the rotor with your finger or a pencil to see if it is free.

Just catching a happy hum after the test. Off to find the re-building auger motor post.:)
This forum is extremely helpful especially when researching and you only have 1 broken unit as a point of reference.

Thanks to all for your help and guidance,
