I was down to my last 5 bags. Called my guy and he was out. Got lucky and was able to score a ton of Barefoots for $275, half pallet of Turmans for $120 and a pallet of NEWP for $245. Now I can breathe a little easier as pellets are my main source of heat and I should be ok for awhile.

I took out the oil tank and baseboards last year. Furnace will be gone in the spring.

Why remove the backup heat?

Ah yea transition has you vulnerable if pellets go dry. I have had a good supply. Reasons why I do everything I can to purchase the full supply by late fall.

No were near running out
always buy more than needed every fall
and have left overs for the next year .
I figure in another five years I'll have 2 years worth in the basement
and not have to buy any in that year unless its as cold as this year
and then I'll have to buy again Don't mind buying pellets have not used a
drop of OIL in 12 years

I was down to a SINGLE bag. I was in the process of transitioning to new pellets and was still testing. Found a new brand that my stove likes but the retailer has been out for over a week. Shipment came in TODAY but all I had was the car. Pilled 12 bags into a tiny car until I can pick up my ton tomorrow. Phew.

Never again... hopefully I have no issues from now until the end of winter so I can stock up in the spring/summer. Oink Oink

What are you running now? sent you a PM
Didn't get a pm but I'm running Allegheny and am fairly satisfied with them.

Ran out, stove took a dump..scrambled to find pellet and used dino fuel for 2 days. That's my story and sticking to it!

I was down to my last three bags I try to pick up half of a ton this last weekend but the tsc I went to was out so I got some today at local ace. I rolled up to get a hand full of somersets to get me into the weekend when I could get more and I scored 43 bags of somersets for 174.00 instead of the 248 I paid for a full ton I think he wanted to move them so they would not sit in the weather with out the cover on them good.

I'm down to six bags. Stopped by Lowes to get 10 bags to last me till the weekend and they're out and not getting any more.

Fortunately my brother-in-law just stocked up, and since I recently gave him some good beer, I think he will loan me a few bags to get me by. We've got several places around that sell pellets, so I'm pretty sure that I can get stocked up soon.

While I don't plan on becoming a pig any time soon, I do plan on getting an extra ton to hold in reserve next year.
