It seems like every other truck I pass is a fuel or propane truck. With this cold spell folks are going thru oil, gas, even pellets and wood like nobody’s business.
So far I’ve burned about 60% of my years allotment of 7 cords, which considering its mid February shouldn’t be too bad.
I shudder to think what it would be costing me if I had to run on oil!!
Now we are in the throes of another winter storm, so I spent last evening bring in wood, getting sand mix, and gassing up the generator (just in case). Once I fight my way back home from work I can relax all snug and warm.

We have had a mild winter here on the West Coast
Drying cloths outside in January .

Won't be drying any clothes outside here. This year has run through my supply quite quickly. I just grabbed some coal to supliment my dwindling supply. The way it's going, I just got 1 ton as I figure it should get us through. I won't be caught short next year! Real winter has returned an caught me ill prepared.
Happily, the high priced fuel trucks have bypassed my driveway, too!
Time to head back into the woods...
