“Extinguishing Mediocrity”
Long time Hearth.com member "Charly" with over 2254 posts to his credit,1075 Likes, 803 Trophy Points, who had joined Hearth.com on April 2, 2008 and left Oct 24th 2013 to help start another forum passed away. Many folks at Hearth.com knew and respected Charly and his willingness to help them. He will be missed by many and I thought it prudent to notify his friends here that he had passed.

Wolz, Charles H. SCHOHARIE Charles H. Wolz, 59, died suddenly at his residence on Saturday, February 8, 2014. Born on June 12, 1954 in Albany, he was the son of Charles G. and the late Gloria (Ollard) Wolz. Charlie married the love of his life, Maribeth LaDu, on October 13, 1979. Survivors, in addition to Charles' father and wife, include son Charles G. Wolz of Albany; sister Barbara and husband Barry Matson of Clifton Park; brother-in-law Dwight and wife Lori LaDu of Guilderland; a nephew, Robert; and four nieces, Melinda, Amber, Kourtney and Taylor. Also survived by many friends and extended family. Charlie lived life to the fullest. He was an avid paraglider and motorcycle enthusiast and loved living on their farm. Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Thursday, February 13, 2014 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Fredendall Funeral Home, 199 Main St., Altamont, with a funeral service to follow at 7 p.m. Due to inclement weather, the calling hours and service are now being held on Friday, February 14, 2014.
