im new on here so im not sure how this works, but here goes, does anyone know how to hook up a millivolt thermostat to my Ashley 5660 pellet stove, my stove has a place for three wires, but millivolt thermostats only use two wires, I hooked it up using the number 2 an 3 on the board, but I can't tell if it works. it just stays at a steady flame, an the fan slows down, it is suppose to shut down when it reaches the right temp. if I turn it down then I can use the 1 through 5 heat levels, but when I turn the thermostat up, an use the heat level buttons the heat setting doesn't change an the fan doesn't speed up either. my problem is I don't know how this stove is suppose to work while its on a thermostat. I can use all the help I can get, as this is the first pellet stove I have ever owned. and the instructions are a joke. it shows where to hook it up, but nothing on how to operate it, once its on a thermostat.

The 5660 will not "shut off" from thermostat control. It will change from a high setting(that you choose) to the #1 setting once the thermostat is satisfied. Basically it shifts to an idle mode until the thermostat calls for heat again. Then it will jump back up to the pre-selected higher setting.

With the stove running in manual choose one of the upper settings (3,4,or 5) then change the mode to T-Stat. If the stat is calling for heat the setting will remain on the high one, if the stat is satisfied, it will downshift to level one. The LED will not change on the control board!
