Glass doors for old buck stoves

I have glass in mine. I have a 28000. Glass must be a ceramic glass. Is probably very strong. Maybe you could get it from a sponsor of this site. servicesales.com

Nice stove you have Kevin. I would put the glass in the doors and as gzecc mentioned you can buy those and gasket. I had a 26000 model as an insert in my fireplace about 3 years ago. I bought a another insert and put the Buck 26000 in my shop. Another thing about the wife enjoys seeing the fire. When you check on the glass ask them about the firescreen that they have for it also. I have one with mine also. Its nice. Good thing about Buck, always can buy parts if needed.

I have the glass in my 26000, but not in my 28000. I would not be too concerned about the logs hitting the glass, but the 26000 is fairly small compared to the 27 and 28. Still, the glass in fairly thick and it would take one heck of a log, at the right angle, to damage it.

I would put the glass in, think you'll be glad you did. There is glass in the one I picked up, happy about that. the stoves we have here and at the lower ranch have glass doors, would hate not having that.
