I live in NH not Florida so I'll take the summer over the winter any day. For me being outdoors in the summer in New England is light years more enjoyable than being outdoors in the winter. There is just so much more that I can do in the yard and with my kids in the summer. Winter here feels like you're a prisoner in a sense.

I grew up in NH but never learned to ski, snowmobile, ice skate, snowboard, snowshow etc etc and now that I'm in my thirties I have zero interest in starting any of these things. I'd much prefer to take part in that other traditional New England winter past time, bitching about the cold and snow.:)

A Prisoner sentenced to hard labor, plowing, snow blowing & shoveling. Done all those winter sports but right now I'd rather just plant my a$$ on the Harley and GO.

The bike nest:( And that is not fog! DSCN0379.JPG Winds gusting over 60

One of the Boston TV stations on their weather report tonite commented on how this cold is very unusual for this time of year as the angle of the sun is higher (similar to Oct 16 he said) but isn't having much effect warming it up. And the potential for another snow storm Sun nite thru Mon. Have used my snowblower more in the last 6 weeks than the past 3 years combined.
On last Tuesday's storm , I got about a 3rd done with the driveway (120 ft) when the auger clutch cable snapped. Had to hand shovel the foot of snow off the rest of the driveway. Did that and then raked snow off the 2 roofs on the back of the house. Didn't drop dead (I'm 60) so I guess I'm good for a couple more years ;lol

I chopped my bike trailer out of the snow today so I could get it and my kids bike ready for the first harescramble of the season. Hope there's no snow in southern New Jersey on Saturday ....
