Twenty two months ago I purchased a new crated Thelin Gnome for just less than $2,000. With the hearth and vent pipe it ended up costing about $2,500. Over the last 3 weeks the brushed blower motor began to change speed, emit a high pitched squeel then fail despite having installed the replacement brushes that came with the stove. By the efforts of a great dealer in Ogden, Utah and the help of tech support at Thelin, I was able to receive a new brushless motor and get it installed overnight and with 6 hours of work. Now, I'm practised at installing the new motor and $501 lighter in my wallet.

$500 for a 12v motor?

I sold my 10 yr old Gnome for $500 dollars, w/extra blower motor
