Does the fan affect the inside of firebox? I have been installed a little over a week and have kept the fan on low. It is cold out today so I decided to to turn the fan to high. The display of fire in the stove is incredible maybe I built a good fire or the fan has something to do with it. What do you guys think?

I guess it's possible, but usually, the fan, if run on a high setting when a fire is low, could actually negatively impact the burn by removing heat from the firebox.
I'd bet that it's more likely you arranged the wood in a manner that was more conducive to a larger fire, perhaps? Or loaded on a larger / hotter bed of coals? Colder temps or a different wind gave a stronger draft?

The fan speed has no effect on the burn. It merely moves the heat from insert faster. Mine is set on high thru the cold weather switching to low when it warms up. I also have a double window fan on the mantle above to help with air flow out of room.
