Thanks to the polar vortex and the lack of pellets in the Rhode Island area I have had to break down and get what pellets I could find.
1. Freedom Fuels - bags are cheap as I have seen. I put a huge hole in it just picking it up. They look small and there is no uniform shape and the color is odd(yellow). Just put my first bag in so I will soon know if I like them.
2. Lee Energy - I can't find much info on these pellets the bags nor the website give details on btu output or material is in the pellet. I will use the 10 bags of Freedom before I hit the Lee pellets. If you have used them let me know what you think. :eek:

Final review, I wanted to hate freedom fuel as the bag was cheap and I tore several; however, I ended up liking them a lot. They burn hotter than stove chow, so much so I had to turn on my ceiling fans to cool the house off (stove was set to a low level and it was 20 degrees outside). They also burn fairly clean, about on par with stove chow. The only down-side I found is the burn rate is a little faster than others I have used, oh and they are yellow in color and smell odd. All in all I would use these pellets on a regular basis.

Lee Energy Solutions...I am not a pellet snob, I like green supreme, but Lee Energy are not worth the money. They burn with a huge amount of ash. I will follow up with a photo, but these pellets generate about 10 times the ash as other pellets, and that is a honest number. On my highest stove setting I can not get my house above 64, using stove chow or freedom fuels my house is usually around 70 burning on a low setting. The pellet length is to long and my stove has trouble feeding them into the burn box. All in all I would use my oil hot air system before buying another bag of Lee Energy.
 
I've used Lee's. Seemed to burn ok about 20 to 30 degrees lower vent temp than with other pellets and a LOT of ash
 
Lee Energy Solutions are good for cat litter but the cats won't like the dust.
 
I scored 15 bags of Lee from Home Depot last week. The first bag seemed OK, the second bag had so many fines, that I had flames going back up the feed tube, because the tube had a trail of wood dust all the way back up to the exit end of the auger. I am afraid of a hopper fire, so I shut down the stove and I will remove all the Lee pellets and throw them in the garbage. I will return the 13 remaining bags of Lee to Home Depot for a refund. I'd rather burn propane than have a house fire....

Freedom Fuels run fine. They are good. I found them to be uniform as well though I haven't ran alot of them. I'd buy them again.
 
ive run freedom fuels they do look weird , they re small and I did have to trim the stove a bit but they burned fine. as for the Lee's I haven't seen or tried so I have no brief on them.

glad my local TSC has plenty of WV lignetics if I need em though
