The stirrer turns when I press the third button but will not turn during normal operation. This just started yesterday. Any thoughts?

On the right side of unit, behind the decorative panel, is the stirrer motor assembly. There is a gear that attaches to the shaft of the stirrer. There is an Allen key set screw that holds the gear to the shaft. It may be slipping. Tighten it. Hopefully that is it and not the stirrer motor.

I just re - read your post. Disregard my last post. Press the aot botton. What number appears. Sounds like 0. To change it. Press the aot button then press the two up buttons together to raise it to 1.

damn Indy, great call its quite possible, you got potential my friend

could also be set in mode 6 for cherry pits , the mixer is not powered in that mode

AOT is set at 3. I set it there when burning less than ideal pellets and works well. The stirrer does rotate when I hold in the AOT button but not when running normal. I noticed last night after manually turning it, it rotated about a quarter turn then stopped.

Did u check the mode as mike suggested?

if the AOT button runs it then the circuit is good, if its not cycling as it should its a logic thing or a slip in the sprocket as indy said earlier, may only slip when you have resistance to rotation and in a short stroke as the mixer runs in pellet mode even up on 3 the mixer may not move at times.

check the mode make sure its at 1, also try holding the AOT in and watch for pauses in the rotation if it happens you may well have a loose sprocket setscrew

The manual rotation is smooth. I unplugged, replugged, pressed blower speed buttons together and the lights came on showing both the heat range and blower speed that I had the stove set at (7/9). I did not get a single number showing pellet/corn/pits.

when you press those buttons together , you do not want to hold them in, just press and quickly release, the single number should show in the blower speed and remain there for about 5 seconds, then revert back to the settings you have the stopve set for

Did the procedure again. Press and quickly release. Still no single number - both windows light up showing the feed rate and blower speed. Stove is off now. When "on" if I manually turn the stirrer with the AOT button, the stirrer will work when released for about 1/4 revolution then stop. Any thoughts?

when it stops is it usually in the same position it stopped at previously? now if the mixer DOES run at least some when you release the override (AOT) normally for a few cycles then its in the proper mode, would be a mode issue if it ONLY ran when you held that button in.

Stops in various positions after about a quarter turn. Thought I had it cured this a.m. after pulling pot, scraping and cleaning. Made two revolutions and quit. Any idea why I can't identify the mode? How would I view the gears? Is it possible some of the gears have been shorn? But then why would it rotate with the AOT button? Hmmmm

Are u checking the mode correctly? Unplug unit. Wait 15 sec. Then plug it back in. Quickly press both the up and down button of The heat range. This will tell u the mode. #1 for pellets, #5 for corn and #6 for cherry pits.

Have tou tried holding bunnton in for 2 or mor revolutions? If so and runs fine, hook up voltmeter to motor, watch meter and see if control board sends voltage to motor, after the startup cycle (3 minutes?).If stove already running, sit and watch meter as stir does not run continously. No voltage sent to motor, settings not at 0,bad board.

Thanks everyone. I'll try the volt meter later today. The stirrer will continuously rotate as long as I hold in the AOT button. To check mode I've been pressing the "blower speed" buttons not the heat range. The instructions say blower but perhaps it is the heat range on my model.

Did you check the set screw? I fixed a stove with this problem, it is very common. :)

Sorry pal. It is the blower speed Buttons.

This is unbelievable. It appears the 10-CPM has an uncanny ability to fix itself. I added some pellets again this a.m., shut the hopper door and it has been running perfect for the last 7 hours. Hopefully things will continue as is. Still don't know why I don't get a mode reading when going through the steps. Thanks all.
