Hi guys I have a US Stove 6041.. It stopped feeding pellets last night..I checked for a jam didnt see anything I have 116.5 volts going to it so
I'm assuming it's junk...Does anyone know a place to get motors at a good price of just order one from US stoves..? Any input would be appreciated ..Thanks..Jay

Thanks..Bob

I see them at all different prices..US stoves wants $136.00 or close to that.. I see them on E Bay for half that price..With NO hole drilled.. I might buy one from US stoves..and then buy a back up on line..I dont really like Ebay..

Is this one built to last a bit longer..I got maybe 14 months of burn time out of it. Is that about average..?. I do understand quality differences ..And I do understand THINGS WEAR OUT..
So far that about $10.00 a month maintenance costs.. Not to bad..I should have one on a shelf anyways..I'm just bumming its down for a few days.. Thanks for your advise..

One of the repair guys could give you a better answer.I would expect no less than 5 years unless there is a problem.

I went to get the jump on the replacement by taking the old one out..the shaFt wouldn’t spin freely..AfterI pulled the plate of it Wow it was Jammed ..I pulled a piece of twisted paper towel out of the Auger shoot ...

Good, you tried the basics.Hope it did not damage your motor.

I did try the basics I thought by shop vac ing the Auger tube... I realized the shaft didn’t spin freely..Untill I took it out and couldn’t move the shaft.. I knew I had power going to it.
I ran the motor off the shaft and it turned.. Then I turned my attention to the shaft.. Paper towel wound up there..That was from cleaning the glass...The motor seems to be working as it should..?

They are usually strong enought to stand a dozen jambs, but they have a soft(breakaway) gear inside them.Rocks(last time I bought local made pellets) cost me an auger motor some years ago.By the way the guys/gals here turned me on to rutland glass cleaner(#84 I think) and glass stays cleaner much longer.

Now I just need another 30 bags of pellets... Its like gold here..?

I bought an auger motor for my M55 on eBay from a company called Earth Sense. I only paid $64, including shipping. I highly recommend saving yourself some money by buying from them of they have what you're looking for. They do have their own website you can buy from if you don't like dealing with eBay.
