My BKK Parlor does not have the convection deck like the Ultra does.
Are there significant benefits to having one, or not?
Assume the blowers are always on, low setting.
Thanks, JB

I have one for my princess that is off currently. I need to paint it metallic black to match the stove, I put it off all last season. Anyway I'm not sure I notice much a difference with or without it. If I had to buy it again I probably would even if I can't decide if it's worth it or not. :)

rdust- with the deck on, did your heat feel like it "traveled" farther in front of the stove? That may sound weird, but ...
My stove is in a corner location. Close to it are the stairs going to the upper bedrooms. The heat just rolls up the staircase.
In front of the stove is the area I want to keep warmer. The heat will find it's way up on it's own.
Do you think the deck would help blow that hot-air forward, enough? It's over 35' to my front room.

Only thing I will say is that if you need to cook, as in power outage, it's really in the way. We have a gas range now, so no worries there.

Actually, the NC-13 is going to handle cooking and hot water, once I get it installed. I plan to have it modded and installed next spring.
(yeah, right )

Any updated opinions on the convection deck for the princess? I'm debating on buying one.. do they help move the heat from the stove? Are they a better place to put your water for humidifing? Other pros/cons since you all have had them a while?

Would be easiest to put it on when I install the Princess.. hopefully in the next two weeks.. Then I can just hope for a cold snap to test it out!

My King seems to work just fine without it. The blown air travels over the stove top and rolls right over the lip just fine.

I have one on my ultra. It has to help, it forces the air to be in contact longrr and the louvers blow the air down as well. On top of that it just looks better to me.
