OK, I have the stove and I'm installing it. But there is something I don't understand. The dealer said it came out of a mobile home - so that mean it must have had an outside air kit. The AOA connection on this stove goes to the back of the stove and it just terminates in an open air space - there is no direct feed to the burn box like my other stove. I see that the draft slider on this stove works to draft the burn side of the burn box, not the air intake side. Also, on the left side of the combustion fan mount (when looking at the stove from the front) their is a slide door slot on the top of the combustion fan mount box with an oval hole on the right side with some white gasket material that is covered in air dirt. Looking into it I can see the Draft Slider (part #21) and can easily see it slide in and out when I adjust it. I have to beleive that this oval hole should have cover on it? It has a slot mount on the top of the box for what looks to be a cover. Without the cover, how can the combution fan pull enough air through the burn pot? It must be missing - although the stove was running when I picked it up. I can see right into that box and see the combustion fan blades as well. However, looking at the technical manual and the parts list - I see no part of this offered - there is no schematic showing this part at all. Was it removed it removed or is this oval suppose to be open like that? - it seems a strange design to me. If there were not power, the stove would smoke volumes into the house. it is odd that the installation manual does not cover this item. Please explain. I have uploaded 2 pictures from the right side of the stove looking at the fan housing. A picture is 1000 words. Rotate the 1st 90 deg clockwise.

Surprised no one would reply here - but no issue. I made a backdraft flapper until I can get the OEM part. Thanks to the forum I figured out the missing part no.

Never worked on one, suprised it has one.Explains why a lot of mini owners have intermitten smoke smell complaints.Suprised mini owners did not reply to you.Appears i is there to open on account of backdraft into exhaust, which would cause smell/smoke.Also explains why oak is not directly connected, would possibly blow ash out the flap.If was mine i probably seal it shut.

Some how my reply did not go through last night. Any way, the cold air intake terminates at the back grill cover why I don't know, ask Enviro. The oval hole it covered by a flap, it seals up against a gasket when the combustion blower runs. Personally I have not any problems with smoke unless it involves with the venting.

I have had no back draft or smoke issues since I installed my home made flapper valve....it is still working just fine. The only issue I have had is the screws coming off the auger cover. Resealed with RTV and reattached that an stove is running very good now. When the cover separated, it created an air leak which effected performance of the stove (ran cooler).
